Cosmetic acupuncture is not the latest fad or new thing
on the market. The use of acupuncture to slow the
visible effects of aging began in China in the Song
Dynasty (960-1279AD). In Traditional Chinese Medicine,
it is known as “Chinese Medical Cosmetology”, and its
use was widespread in the Emperor’s harem and amongst
Chinese nobles and their wives (and mistresses).
These days, the procedure is commonly known as Facial
Rejuvenation but is also known by the terms “Cosmetic
Acupuncture”, “Acupuncture Facelift” and “non-surgical
facelift”.
Throughout the U.S.A. and Europe and now in Australia,
facial rejuvenation acupuncture has become a popular,
non-surgical method for people who want, not only to
maintain beauty, radiance and vitality in the face, but
also improve their overall health and well being.
The procedure has been featured on numerous current
affairs programs in the U.S.A. and Europe and is
reportedly used by many “stars” and celebrities.
Studies focussed on this particular technique have shown
significant and lasting benefit. In one particular study
of 300 cases treated with facial acupuncture, 90% of
those treated had marked beneficial results with only
one course of treatment (International Journal of
Clinical Acupuncture, 1996).
A course of treatment generally consists of twelve
treatments administered once or twice per week. If
necessary, and if the patient is relatively healthy and
tolerates the treatment well, treatments may be given up
to three times per week with a day between treatments. A
course of treatment holds its benefits for two to five
years. However, regular “top-up” treatments, can be
useful to extend effects and one-off treatments are
often used by patients to achieve that bright, healthy
glow for special occasions.

A course of facial rejuvenation acupuncture: |
- Improves muscle tone and dermal contraction

distribution of both these protein
substances
- Helps to eliminate and reduce bags
under the eyes and lifts sagging jowls
- Helps to eliminate facial puffiness
by improving metabolism and fluid
distribution
- Helps to eliminate fine lines on the
face and has a diminishing effect on
larger lines
- Improves hormonal balance, thus
being effective in treating hormonal
acne
- Moisturises the skin by increasing
local circulation of blood and lymph
- Improves facial colour by increasing
peripheral circulation

- Because Facial Rejuvenation therapy

It is not a replacement for cosmetic
surgical intervention and results are not as immediately
dramatic but it is an excellent alternative approach
without surgery and injection of toxic substances.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is far less expensive,
more natural, non-invasive and safer than cosmetic
surgery or botox injections. It does not have their
associated side-effects, toxicity, inflammation, or
recovery time.
And because the process is non-intrusive and is
activated from within by the person him/herself, the end
results look a lot more natural. |
